As owner and senior planner for Dold Financial Group, Chris is charged with the asset management of our clients. Chris' expertise in financial planning guides our clients in their journey to understanding their financial needs and developing a plan. Chris' compassion shows in his down-to-earth approach towards the moving parts of financial planning through his use of everyday situations.

Chris and his wife, Kelly live in Monticello, Indiana on Lake Freeman. They have 7 children and 1 grandchild and 5 rescue pets, 4 puppies and a cat.

Steve joined the Dold Financial Group team in 2012 as a Paraplanner. At that time, the focus was incorporating a holistic approach to better serve our clients in meeting their financial goals. In 2014, Steve transitioned to become a financial professional. Steve enjoys engaging with our clients to find out more about them personally, their lives, priorities and objectives.

DFG team’s unique, in-depth process includes assistance with estate planning, retirement income analysis, investment planning and risk management/insurance reviews. These different areas are like pieces of a puzzle. They are all different types and sizes, but they fit together to form your unique financial picture. Life is ever-changing. So is the picture on the front of that puzzle box. We help through all the different phases of your financial life from getting started, getting married, raising a family, empty nesting, to retirement and through retirement that picture changes.

The same is true with our industry. What worked in the past may not be the best piece to fit into your picture today. Changes in regulations, laws, the market and the world around us, always present new opportunities to review, align objectives and if possible, improve our situation. Steve is passionate and committed to constantly learning and growing. He is proud to provide quality service and a consistent unique experience to our clients.

Outside of the office, Steve loves to coach youth sports. He is humbled to lead young men and to help them grow and learn life lessons through youth athletics that hopefully impact their lives. Steve and his wife, Angela, have two sons and live in Monticello.

Joe Dold

Joe Dold joined the team in January 2018. He is a graduate of Purdue University – Krannert School of Management with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management with a Finance concentration. He is also a graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.

In joining the Dold Financial Team, Joe serves in the role of Paraplanner. He assists the team with developing financial plans for clients, supporting Chris in gathering financial reports and records, as well as keeping client information current.

Joe and his wife, Sandy, live in Chalmers/Brookston, IN with their two children. He is active in the community in many ways, notably as the Treasurer of the Brookston Lions Club. In his free time, he enjoys reading and spending time with his family.

Kelly Dold, Chris’ wife, joined the DFG team in September 2015. She is a 1993 graduate of Western Illinois University, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health/Fitness Programming. Currently, she serves the practice as a consultant by planning and coordinating various client-related activities, correspondence, and event planning to ensure we are meeting clients’ needs and objectives.

Kelly has worked at Purdue University since 2020. Her current role as the Marketing and Communications Manager for the Department of Veterinary Administration combine two of her passions, marketing and love of animals.

Kelly enjoys running, biking, gardening, warm weather, and spending time on the lake with family and friends. Kelly and Chris have five rescue pets…one cat and four puppies!
